Amazing How Little Minds Work
John reported this conversation he had with Kate while he was helping her wipe.
"Dad, do our bodies have tools inside them?"
"Tools for what?"
"Tools for cutting my poop."
I wonder if she was imagining little scissors or something resembling a cigar cutter.

Privatization
I am going to make our family blog private. Certain events in my cousin's on-line life and the fact that I have a lot of people I don't know reading my other blogs make me a little leery. I would rather not expose my kids and personal home life to possible weirdos.
For now my other blogs will be open for the world to read and criticize, but on Feb 17 "The Walkers" will be private.
If you want to be one of the elite members of my Private Blog, please leave a comment with your email. I vow to protect your email's honor and virtue by not posting it.

Kate's Birthday Party
Kate finally got her birthday party. I tried really hard to convince her to have a more creative theme than "Princess", but when you are 4 nothing else will do.

She wore this dress the entire day. I think it was pinching her arms and scratchy but apparently if you are a princess beauty comes before comfort.

The kids made masks for the masked ball. They loved it. I thought the boys might be too cool for it, but they got into it more than the girls.

Papa Dale and the grandkids and Gus.

We went to the bakery together and she got to pick it out herself. I don't have the patience for cake decorating so Safeway got the privilege.

No birthday is complete without the "Birthday Song" sung in all the key signatures at once. ;)
Notice the little voice in the background. "Can I have the first piece?" and "Can I have the piece with the pink flower." That is Kate's cousin Cooper who is 6. He loves tormenting Kate. They will probably be best friends forever.
More later. I am not patient enough to let everything upload.

Do You LIke My Hat?
Jonas has always been a head boy. When he was a baby, if it was too big to put in his mouth he would butt it with his head. Lately he has been into hats. It started when Kate found her winter hats as we were unpacking boxes.

Jesus and Mickey Mouse
Kate got to go to big girl primary today. She was soooo excited. If you are wondering why she was still in nursery it is because her birthday misses the move-up mark by 8 days. Stinky huh?
When we were driving home I ask her about how primary was. She was upset because they didn't sing Christmas songs, but they did sing Frosty the Snowman (I think it may have been "Once there was a Snowman")
I ask her about what they talked about. She said they talked about how Jesus died and then came back to life. I ask her, "Why did he do that?" She replied, "It was magic! He is magical!"
I guess when we spend as much time at Disneyland as we do at church, she is bound to get the concepts a little intertwined.
