Welcome to the world Ben!

I am filling in for Katrina on this one as she has a small sleeping baby on her chest.

Everything went extremely well with the delivery. Benjamin Lewis Walker was born this morning at 11:59 am. He weighed in at a whopping 8 Lbs 1 oz. Mom and baby are doing fine.

Here are a few pics of the new little guy:

New Red Underpants

When Jonas usually runs it is more of a gallop. Of course he won't let me get a good sample of it on video. This is the best I could do.

Kate's first day of Pre-School

Kate went to her first day of pre-school on Monday. Sniff. . . sniff

She was soooo excited. For the entire week before the day she begged me to let her pack her back pack.

She packed it herself that morning with 2 outfits, several books and her stuffed monkey.

Jonas was a little confused when we left without her. As we walked back to the car he kept saying "Kate! Kate! Kate?"

When Kate came home she told us all about it.

"I looked at the fish. I played with the magnets. I drawed pictures. I learned about sharing and being nice. And I played with a magnifying glass. I think I had a snack. And I think that was it."

Our Last Trip to Disneyland

Our passes are up Nov. 9, so this was probably our last trip. Unless we get crazy and take one month old boy (So ya, we still haven't picked a name).

Riding the train

We went around 2 complete times. John and I were pooped and needed a break.

Watching the parade.

Little Dancer

Waiting for the Bug's Life 3-D movie, which Kate hated.

After Kate's first time on Grizzly River. She has grown at least 2 inches this year. In February she was still too short to go on this.

Jonas chowing on his lunch.

Waiting in line for Small World. (We spent most of this trip waiting. Ahh! Summer at Disneyland.) Not really sure what Kate's pose is all about. She was doing that on purpose, I didn't just catch her at an awkward moment.

So I took pictures and video of the Electrical Parade because I love it. Probably boring pictures for the rest of you because they didn't turn out all that well and there are no cute kids in the pictures.

Kate's favorite princess

Jonas on the Carousel during our little mommy and son time. Kate and John got to go on all the fun rides and Jonas and I spent quite a bit of time waiting for them.

Getting on Peter Pan. 45 minute wait - 2 minute ride.

Waiting in line again. This time for the Haunted Mansion. Kate's favorite ride.

The one character Kate saw. We mostly tried to rush past the characters and hoped that Kate didn't see them. The lines were long, it was hot, and she has seen most of them before.

Superred (At least I think that's how you'd spell it)

When we were playing with the chickens.

Kate: I don't want to be superred any more!

Me: What do you mean?

Kate: Not super quiet! Not super soft! Not super danged!

Our Peeps

We finally caved. The little chickies at the farm store where we buy our dog food were far too tempting.

Colonel Sanders and Jonas. She is the biggest and should lay green eggs.

The Colonel again. I think she actually kind of likes the kids.

This one is Kate's chicken. She named her Sally. She is not really a fan of being held.

Tandoori moving in for a kiss.

Now we just need to build a coop and hopefully we will have eggs in 4-6 months!

Cooling Off in Payson

So, I spent the morning of the 4th a little weepy. Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays. I spent the morning reading everyone's updates on facebook about parades, camp outs, BBQs with the fam.

Ya, no parades here, too hot. No going to the river, there isn't any water in it and did I mention it's hot? John had to work at night, so we went to the fireworks with a friend. Fireworks were good, but hot.

Sunday we decided to explore a little. We drove to Payson which is about 2 1/2 hours North East of us. We found a little camping area next to a stream, played in the water and eased the homesickness a little.

Drama Queen Kate posing for the camera. The spot we found was amazing. Someone had built up a little wading pool that was perfect for the kids.

The dogs were happy too. Jackson hardly left the water. He didn't even hang around and try to beg for hot dogs. Too busy swimming.

Dare Devil Jonas sticking his face in the water.

John and the kids trying to catch crawdads.

No Fear Kate showing off their catch.

Jonas mid growl/squeal after holding the crawdad.

Big guy.

Forever looking for food.
