Ya, no parades here, too hot. No going to the river, there isn't any water in it and did I mention it's hot? John had to work at night, so we went to the fireworks with a friend. Fireworks were good, but hot.
Sunday we decided to explore a little. We drove to Payson which is about 2 1/2 hours North East of us. We found a little camping area next to a stream, played in the water and eased the homesickness a little.

The dogs were happy too. Jackson hardly left the water. He didn't even hang around and try to beg for hot dogs. Too busy swimming.

Seriously, Payson makes living here bearable. I love it up there. So much. I'm a little jealous that you got to go. Looks like it was good.
