I Belong to the Church of Jesus Christ

Kate sang one of her favorite primary songs for us tonight. Here are a couple of our favorite lines:

"I'll follow Him in vain." and "His truth I will propane!"

(It should be "I'll follow him in FAITH." and "His truth I will PROCLAIM!")

Walkin' Walker

So, sorry this video is sideways. I didn't think about it when I took it and now I am not sure how to flip it.

Yup, folks, he's walking. I think he is walking earlier than either of the other 2. He is going to be a handful as you can see in the following picture.

"Um, Mom, if you haven't noticed, I'm stuck! Put the camera down and get me off of here!"

Ben Jammin' is Jamming.

First Day of Kindy-Garden

Here she is on her first day of real school all decked out in her Yoo-Nee-Form. (Bleck!)

In the car with her friend. Little Miss Independent didn't even need me to take her the first day. Which is probably a good thing because I would have stood outside the door all morning watching and crying.

Here is a LINK to the post about her first day of pre-school. It is amazing how fast she is growing up. (little tear, sniff, sniff)

It is definitely weird getting used to her being gone all day. Jonas is the one who misses her the most I think, though he has taken to tormenting Ben now.

Kate loves school, but she is just like her dad.

First day of school, she was so excited. She got up bright and early. She was cheery.

Second day, "Kate, time to get up and get ready for school." She looks at me with groggy face and then closes her eyes. "Kate!" She drags herself out of bed.

Third day, "Kate, time to get up and get ready for school." This time she didn't even look at me. She just groaned and rolled over. I could barely get her to move at all. I had to throw her in the shower, just to get her awake enough to eat her breakfast.

Oh Yeah, I Was Going to Post These

I was cleaning off the camera in preparation for the 1st day of school tomorrow and found a bunch of things I was going to post, but was too lazy or busy to at the time.

Kate's Swim Lessons

Every time she jumped into the pool she flopped

This is the bounteous harvest from our 6 tomato plants. We got about 4-5 tomatoes, all this size and smaller. We probably would have gotten a few more, but Atticus developed a penchant for green tomatoes.

That's all I am going to post tonight because I am tired. More later. Maybe tomorrow, maybe next month. Who knows?

Cricket Killer Part Deux

I thought I should share this here for those of you who aren't on facebook and because this is a little more permanent so I justify my blogging by calling it journaling.

This is what Kate said to me last night.

Kate: "Mom, be sure to wash your white pants."

Me: "The clean ones I was planning on wearing tomorrow? Why?"

Kate: "Because I used them to kill a cricket. I tried using the bat, but I didn't think I got it, so I used your pants to make sure."

Cricket Killer

We are being invaded by crickets. I kid you not, I kill at least a dozen a day, or usually night since the creepy little turds are nocturnal. This is what Jonas has to say about it.
