Disneyland Day 1

I decided to post our trip a day at a time. That way I don't have one horrendously long post you will get bored reading.

We got there late in the day on Sunday which turned out to be a good thing because the kids were rested and were able to stay awake long enough to see the fireworks. The rest of the days we were there they were beyond done by 6.

Jonas in his tourist shirt standing in line for Alice.

Kate on her first Disney ride. She was really excited. The entire time we were on the ride she just stared wide eyed in amazement.

Kate and John matching expressions.

Enjoy this picture of John because I am sure there will be a price to pay for posting it.

In front of everyone's favorite (hence the insanely long line) Fantasy Land ride, Peter Pan.

We also saw the parade, which Kate absolutely loved and the fireworks that made me cry.

Jonas Jonas Bo Bonas

Feeding Gus, Grammy's dog. Poor Gus probably had an upset tummy the entire time he was here.

New hair cut. Makes me a little sad. He looks too much like a big boy.

Punkman Carving

Our computer died, so I haven't been able to post anything. I am trying to catch up.

Kate picked her pumpkin pattern from some pictures on the internet. She wanted her "punkman" to be "mean" and "scary."

Sporting her best monster face.

I carved Kate's, put Kate to bed, carved my pumpkin, and watched 2 TV shows before John finished his creation.

Phone Girl

Kate loves to talk on the phone!

This is what she does the entire time she is talking. Hmm, I wonder where she gets it from. Maybe her crazy mom who can't ever sit still.

Halloween Festivities

All of the big Halloween bashes were this weekend. We went to the Goodyear City deal on Saturday night and Boo at the Zoo on Sunday.

Kate picked out all of our costumes this year. I am just glad she picked something easy. She was very particular about everything and guided me through the particulars of each character. I was so excited because I finally found a pair of glasses to wear and the first thing Kate said was, "Those are not Velma glasses. Velma has square glasses."

Goodyear Celebration

The city couldn't shoot their fireworks on the 4th because of the wind,so they did them for Halloween. It made my night because I pretty much missed all of the fireworks this summer. Jonas also loved them. Kate was afraid of the big booms.

Kate and Dadda (that is what Kate calls John lately) playing games for candy

They had a bunch of the big blow-up bounce houses and slides for the kids.
Kate went down what looked like the bigger scarier slide first and then went down the deceptively cute bum breaker slide.

The slide shot the poor little guys out several feet and then they would land with a giant thud on a poor excuse of a landing pad. Several rogue 8 year olds went right before Kate on their bellies. I am surprised they could even breathe after they hit.

Boo at the Zoo

This is Kate's lovely smile. She is in that stage every child goes through when they just try a little too hard when asked to smile.

Tryin' on Mom's glasses.

Poor Kate. Her legs are just a little too short. She had a good time anyway.

Kate's email

Kate now has her very own email address. We signed up for it so she could write to her friend Ella who she misses soooooo much. She would love letters from other people too.
